Shateesha Murphy and Voluptuous Lady Boutique: Changing the Pittsburgh Plus-Size Scene

Shateesha Murphy is changing the plus size game in Pittsburgh. Last Saturday, VLB held the third annual all plus size fashion show and experience, Curvy and Bold at The Hill House Center Kauffman Auditorium. I am thrilled to share what I’ve learned about this powerful brand and its phenomenal owners. Check it out.

Most of my love for this holiday comes from childhood traditions like helping my mom make cookies from scratch while The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole played in the background, or watching A Muppet Christmas Carol on Christmas eve while my mom reminisced on the first time she took me to the movies to see that exact film. But lately it’s different.

Twenty-Fine

You see, being body positive isn’t just about being fat and accepting it. Shit, it isn’t even about size. It’s about making a conscious decision to understand how you feel in your body and learn to love it for no other reason than its yours and you’re you.
